Refund & Return Policy

Refund & Return Policy for BPL Stadium top-up packages, Predictions, Custom advertising boards and any other paid feature. This Policy explains how refund requests are reviewed for a sports-themed browser game with a virtual currency. It is based on UK consumer-law principles where they apply and tailored to digital-only delivery.

BPL Stadium is a sports-themed browser game. The Service is not a betting platform, not a bookmaker, not a gambling product and not a financial service. All matches, balances and outcomes inside the simulator are fictional. No real money is accepted, stored or paid out by the platform under any circumstance. References to "stake", "odds", "win", "balance" or similar vocabulary inside the user interface are creative elements of the football-simulator genre and have no real-world equivalent.

1. Summary (player-facing)

  • Refunds are reviewed under this Policy together with applicable UK consumer regulations, where any apply to the activity in question.
  • Typical processing time: 5–10 business days after approval; banks or payment providers may take longer to post funds if real-money payments are introduced in the future.

2. Scope and legal notice

This Policy governs cancellations and adjustments of in-game Balance for activity carried out on bplstadium.com and its sub-domains (the “Service”), including in-game currency top-ups (the “Tariff packages”) and the use of paid features (Predictions, pitchside Custom advertising boards and any future feature carrying a cost).

The Service delivers only digital content and software. Nothing needs to be shipped back or physically returned under this Policy.

Nothing in this Policy removes statutory protections that may apply to you under UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and, where applicable, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. These statutory protections apply only to the extent that an actual real-money transaction has taken place; the current build of BPL Stadium does not take real-money payments.

3. Key definitions

  • Balance — the pre-paid pool of in-game currency (denominated in “$” symbolic units) held inside your Account. It is not cash, e-money or a financial instrument.
  • In-game currency / virtual units — symbolic units consumed to place Predictions, create Custom advertising boards or trigger other in-game actions that have a cost.
  • Outputs / Content — digital outcomes produced by the Service, such as Match simulations, Prediction settlements, ledger entries and rendered advertising boards.
  • Order / Transaction — a confirmed top-up of the Balance, the acceptance of a Prediction, or any other paid feature activation in the Service.
  • Abuse / Fraud — any behaviour that breaches the BPL Stadium Terms & Conditions, including (without limitation) automated bot activity, multiple Account abuse, unauthorised payments or attempts to bypass game limits.

4. General refund principles

4.1 Refund cap. Adjustments never exceed what you actually paid (if anything) for the order in question, and may exclude non-recoverable processor fees where applicable law permits.

4.2 Digital performance. When you ask us to begin a transaction immediately — for example, by accepting a Prediction or selecting a top-up package — you acknowledge that statutory cooling-off rights connected to digital content may be lost for that transaction once performance starts.

4.3 Consumed in-game currency. Virtual units that have been spent on completed actions (Predictions placed, Custom advertising boards created, bonus activations) are non-returnable.

4.4 Accuracy of inputs. Where an output depends on your input (for example, the text of a Custom advertising board), incomplete or invalid input does not entitle you to a refund. Recreating an output may consume additional in-game currency.

4.5 Refund currency. If real-money payments are introduced in the future, refunds will be issued, where possible, in the same currency and to the same payment instrument used originally.

4.6 FX display. Any multi-currency price displays are indicative only; your card issuer would control the final exchange rate and any FX fees.

4.7 Promotions. Promotional or bonus credits (including the welcome bonus) are non-refundable and may expire per their own terms.

4.8 Abuse or fraud. We may decline refunds, suspend accounts and claw back in-game currency where we reasonably suspect abuse, fraud or breach of the Terms & Conditions.

5. Balance top-ups (in-game currency)

5.1 Nature. Top-up packages selected from the Tariffs modal credit the Balance with a corresponding amount of in-game currency. The Balance is a record inside the Service; it is not a bank account, payment account, e-money account or any other regulated value-storage product and does not earn returns of any kind.

5.2 Unused Balance. Unused in-game currency is normally non-withdrawable, because no real-money charge was taken to begin with. If real-money payments are introduced in the future, exceptional refunds (for duplicate charges or documented technical faults attributable to us) would be considered on a case-by-case basis and may exclude non-recoverable fees.

5.3 Partially used top-ups. Where a top-up package has been partially consumed, only the unused portion of that specific top-up may be considered for adjustment, capped at the original value of that top-up.

5.4 No transfer. Balance cannot be sold, exchanged or transferred to other users. It cannot be merged across Accounts, devices or browsers.

6. Cancellations of paid features

6.1 Before performance. If no in-game currency has yet been consumed and no in-game process has started for a given feature, you may request cancellation and a corresponding adjustment of the relevant cost.

6.2 After performance begins. Once a Prediction has been accepted, a Custom advertising board has been published or any other in-game action has been completed (the in-game currency has been deducted, the entry has been written to the ledger), cancellations and refunds are unavailable except where non-excludable statutory rights apply.

7. Quality issues and re-runs

7.1 Good-faith review. Report materially defective outputs (for example, a Prediction that was settled in a manner inconsistent with the published Terms & Conditions, a Custom advertising board that fails to render, or a ledger entry that contradicts another) within seven (7) days. Include screenshots, timestamps or any error identifiers shown by the Service.

7.2 Remedy. If we confirm a fault on our side, we will (a) re-run the affected process at no in-game-currency cost, or (b) credit an equivalent amount of in-game currency to your Balance if re-running is not feasible.

7.3 External rejection. A loss of a Prediction based on a simulated Match outcome is not a defect. The simulator is designed to produce variance, and a losing Prediction does not entitle you to any refund or in-game-currency adjustment.

8. How to request a refund

Email support@bplstadium.com from your registered correspondence address and include the following:

  • your username on the Service;
  • the order / transaction reference, where one was provided;
  • whether you are querying a top-up, a specific Prediction or another feature;
  • any relevant evidence: screenshots, browser used, approximate timestamp, error messages.

We aim to acknowledge requests within five (5) business days, may ask for further information, and aim to issue a final decision within fifteen (15) business days. Approved adjustments to in-game Balance are applied as soon as the decision is logged.

9. Chargebacks, disputes and investigations

9.1. In the current build no real-money charge can occur, and consequently no chargeback can be raised against the Service. If real-money payments are introduced in the future, initiating a chargeback would be treated as a formal dispute; we would submit relevant records (orders, in-game-currency consumption, IP/device data) and may suspend the Account pending resolution.

9.2. If funds are reversed from us through such a future channel, we may remove an equivalent amount of Balance and recover any amounts lawfully owed.

10. Taxes and invoicing

10.1. In the current build no real-money charge is taken, so the Service does not issue VAT invoices. Should real-money payments be introduced in the future, we would issue electronic receipts / invoices showing any VAT or indirect taxes required based on your billing data.

10.2. Where tax has already been remitted to a tax authority and cannot be reclaimed under applicable law, any refund amount may be net of that tax unless the law requires otherwise.

11. Record-keeping and data protection

11.1. We retain records relevant to refunds, chargebacks and disputes (order IDs, top-up entries, in-game-currency usage, ledger snapshots, timestamps and standard server logs) for at least 24 months, and up to 6 years for enterprise or disputed transactions, in line with tax and legal duties.

11.2. Personal data referenced in this Section is processed as a controller under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

12. Illustrative examples (not legally binding)

  • Immediate performance. You top up and instantly place a Prediction. The consumed in-game currency is non-refundable, regardless of whether the Prediction wins or loses.
  • Not yet performed. You select a top-up package and then immediately ask us to reverse it before placing any Prediction. We may, at our discretion, reverse the top-up entry on the ledger.
  • Corrupted output. A Custom advertising board fails to render due to a documented bug. We re-render at no in-game-currency cost or credit equivalent units.
  • Unused top-up. You activate a top-up package, never spend the resulting Balance and later decide to leave BPL Stadium. In the current build no real-money charge has occurred, so there is nothing to refund; clearing local storage removes the Balance from the device.
  • Variance loss. A Prediction loses based on the simulator’s outcome (e.g., the favourite team conceded a late goal). That is variance, not a defect, and creates no refund right.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. Material updates will be communicated via an in-product notice and via the “Last updated” field at the top of this document. Changes apply prospectively and do not impact refunds already processed unless the law requires otherwise.
